  • United Methodist Women

The purpose of United Methodist Women “is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.”  More than 30 members gather the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. to study and support one another in fulfilling their purpose.  The UMW is active with church projects and with their own famous Bake Sales.  Their special projects contribute to the world-wide mission of the United Methodist Women and the United Methodist Church.

  • United Methodist Men
The primary mission of United Methodist Men is to support spiritual growth among men, helping men to mature as disciples as they encourage spiritual formation in others.  Their goal is to empower the ministry of Jesus Christ through men within the local congregation and their pathway is a lifelong commitment to spiritual growth to maturity as Christ followers.  The local unit of UMM meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. to support one another and plan projects that benefit the church community.  Their traditional and very famous Fish Fry is held in March each year and they work together with others to build a strong, faith-based mission that honors God and blesses those whom they serve.
  • Vision Committee
The Vision Committee is comprised of individuals who attend Salem Chapel UMC and are dedicated to organizing events to help those in our community enjoy God's grace.  This committee organizes several events during the year.
  • S.C.U.M.Y.
The United Methodist Youth ministry takes place wherever youth gather….in worship services, in church school, in fellowship settings, in study groups, in mission projects, and in other settings where the needs of youth are addressed.  Our youth group is nicknamed SCUMY (Salem Chapel United Methodist Youth) and they meet every Sunday at 4 p.m.  Members enjoy a variety of activities, field trips, studies, mission projects, and other challenges throughout the year.  They love to play…and eat…and meet the challenges that young people meet today.
